My sister recently gave me the idea for this blog post. She said, "I buy all of these cardigans and sweaters and vests and then I get it home and I’m like...what pants? What shirt underneath? I am always drawn to the shirt and forget about making the rest of the outfit. I feel like if I knew the basics to have, I could build the rest."

I can't even believe I'm writing this post because I used to be a strong supporter of not wearing white after Labor Day. But, honestly, I think I just supported that rule because I didn't know how to wear white in the fall and winter. There's something so clean and classic about your "summer white," but who says you can't bring that vibe into the winter?

I recently got the cutest leather earrings from Wire & Hide! They are handmade by the sweetest little couple in Pennsylvania.
